About our home

Cozy and clean open concept two bedroom, one bathroom home. Main floor contains one bedroom with two single beds and TV, large seperate bathroom with tub/shower combination. Kitchen with all amenities, dining area and living room with wood stove also on main floor. Upstairs has the second bedroom with queen size bed and jacuzzi. Loft contains a pull out futon for one or two people, TV with DVD/VCR. A large covered back deck offers protection from sun and rain and includes a BBQ. Back yard has picnic table a fire pit for evening entertainment.

More about us

We are Scott and Susan a couple in our forties looking to get away for a couple of weeks, preferably to Florida with our three boys. Scott is an industrail sales rep for a global company and Susan is a paralegal for a law firm here in Truro. We love to walk and explore local interests. We are both very responsible and will take care of your home with the same care we do our own. We would like to secure an exchange prior to March/April of 07 so that both parties can correspond and arrange the proper travel plans.

Where is it?

Neighbourhood

An excellent base to discover the three Maritime Provinces,(Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, New Brunswick), our home is located just outside the town of Truro (5 mins). It is a lovely town with many features that reflect early victorian times. You can find great shopping including local crafts, malls and resaurants. Enjoy a stroll in lovely Victoria park, or if you prefer visit one of the many local pubs for refreshments and local entertainment, then be back to the comfort of home and enjoy the sunset or stay in town for the nightlife. Beaches are only 35-45 mins away, pack a lunch and enjoy a full day swimming in the Northumberland Straits. The capital city of Nova Scotia, Halifax, is a short 50 mins away by car. Here, much history abounds with museums, galleries and many historical buildings to discover. The shopping, restaurants and waterfront of this beautiful city can set the stage for a wonderful vacation. Many festivals take place throughout the Maritimes during the summer and temperatures range from 20-30 degrees C. Our neighbors are very friendly and accomodating to any questions you might have regarding your stay here in Nova Scotia.
