About our home

We own a 3 level home (3 full bathrooms and 4 bedrooms) with stunning views of the pacific ocean, downtown Vancouver and the mountains from 2 of the 3 levels. On the 1st level (ground) there is 1 bedroom(1 twin bed), a full bathroom and laundry facilities as well as a childrens TV (52" plasma) room. On the second level we have a spacious kitchen with all the modern appliances; it opens onto a large deck (20'x24') with views of the ocean, skyline & mountains. On the deck we have a table for 6, with umbrella, lounge chairs for 4 with tables, a gas BBQ & heater lamp. The 2nd level also contains a full bathroom, 2 bedrooms (1 twin bed and 1 queen bed) and a sitting room with a gas fireplace.The master bedroom is located on the top floor with a large private living area with a 65" plasma TV, full bathroom and a separate balcony with a table for 2 overlooking the ocean. In addition, we have a full back yard complete with fruit trees and a walled trampoline for children to play on. As well, we have a beautiful black lab (he will stay with friends while we are away.)Our home is equipped with monitored security and fire systems. We have wonderful friendly neighbours.

More about us

We are a family of 4 (2 boys ages 17 & 19 as of Dec./13) and we would like to take our boys to Europe or Asia in 2014. Both of us are lawyers by profession. We have had 12 wonderful home exchanges to date and are looking forward to future home exchanges.

Where is it?

Welcome to our beautiful coastal home. We live in the most desirable area of Vancouver, Point Grey. We are 5 minutes by car from the University of British Columbia and several beautiful sandy beaches (Spanish Banks, Jericho & Kits, to name a few)are within walking distance, although if you are packing a picnic lunch you may want to drive. We have panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean, the north Shore Mountains and the downtown skyline of Vancouver. We are 15 minutes by car from downtown and Stanley Park. The UBC Endowment lands (100 year old forests) are a short walk away as are numerous restaurants, cafes, grocery stores, produce & fish markets and several outstanding bakeries. Two streets away there is a bicycle rental shop where you can rent first rate bicycles for scenic rides to Granville Island, UBC, Wreck Beach, Spanish Banks, Jericho Beach, Kits Beach, False Creek, Stanley Park and many other destinations. In July & August the city of Vancouver hosts an international fireworks festival. We have an amazing view of the fireworks over English Bay from both our top floor balcony and the large kitchen deck. As well, our home is a 2 hour drive from the Whistler-Blackcomb ski resort, home to some of the most incredible skiing in the world. A pristine public golf course located at UBC is 5 minutes away by car as are kayak, sailboat & windsurfing rentals.
