About our home

Our home reflects our professional interests in the history and culture of the aboriginal peoples of the Northwest Coast. As we work from home, we have a large library, and some bedrooms have been removed to make space for our office area. The home is clean, interesting, and has all the modern conveniences one would expect, although the house is 100 years old and is set in a private garden only a few steps from the seashore.

More about us

  1. Randy (64) and Dorothy (56) are consulting anthropologists who don't plan on retiring. They do, however, like travelling to places where they can meet the local people, sample the regional culinary specialities, and search for the perfect wine. Their ideal holiday is active and enriching and both the countryside and urban centres are appealing.

Where is it?

Victoria is a well-known and loved tourist destination. We are centrally located for you to experience the museums, antique stores and harbour of the city, yet only a short drive to the more rugged west coast. A few metres from our home is one of the most beautiful seaside walks in the city, and a few minutes away is Beacon Hill Park. Public transportation is nearby. The metropolis of Vancouver can be reached by ferry seaplane.
