Our 1912 character home is a cozy & comfortable home. Our living room, dining room and kitchen have held many great gatherings with family and friends. The kitchen has a wood stove which adds to the coziness of our place but don't worry we use the electric stove for cooking!
Our music room has a small grand piano you can enjoy at your leisure and we also have an upright piano in our basement.
The mainfloor includes a living room, dining room, kitchen bathroom and music studio. There are 3 bedrooms and a bathroom on the second floor and an extra bedroom in the basement.
We have a beautiful, private backyard with a small fountain , BBQ, a swing and a tree house. It's great place to escape after a long day of work or touring the city !
We hope that you will enjoy our home as much as we do.
Gordon and I (Jacinthe) have 2 great kids : Olivier 17 and Genevieve 13 years old. I am originally from Quebec and Gordon is from Vancouver (from both ends of Canada). We speak English and French.
Gordon is a professionel musician and teacher. I work in health care for the government. Olivier loves to play his trumpet and ride his bicycle. Genevieve loves acting & dancing. We enjoy music, reading, our sailboat, travelling and meeting new friends.
We exchanged our house few years ago with people from France and it was a very successful experience. We would love to do it again.
We live in the "Cook Street Village" area of Victoria. It is known for it's picturesness and charm. We are next to Beacon Hill Park, where kids and adults can enjoy it's naturel beauty at no cost. We are 5 min. walk to the ocean and 15 min walk from downtown Victoria.
We are close to a grocery store, bakery, coffee shops, small restaurants, cute shops and one pub - and churches are close by too. Victoria has numerous art galleries, museums, restaurants, clubs and shops to see. There are beautiful lakes, parks and numerous attractions in Victoria and Vancouver Island. Victoria ( about 250000 residents) is on Vancouver Island which is a fantastic island to visit with many possible adventures waiting for you (find gigantic trees, enjoy eagles and whales, sailing & fishing adventures, surf on the Pacific ocean, dive, mountain bike and the list goes on...).
If you wish to see Vancouver (our Big City) you can take a ferry (1.5 hours ride) to the mainland where Vancouver is located or fly (30 min).
