About our home

Our sweet home is comfortable, clean and inviting. We have a large backyard, gardens and a sunny deck. We see mountains all around us. Town is a bike ride away. (You would probably appreciate a car to go further afield exploring the many lakes, rivers and rainforest.) Three good size bedrooms, plus den, laminate floors , and wood stove. In the summer it is warm, with very little rain and a lovely ocean breeze. It is a relaxing, beautiful place to live.

More about us

I am a Waldorf teacher with a teenaged son. I have relatives in Holland and visit Heerlen every two or three of years. Now I want to bring my son and have our own homebase so he can learn a bit more about his ancestors. We would like to be able to ride bikes places and get to know where we are staying as well as visit with relatives.

Where is it?

Neighbourhood

We are five minutes from the town of Duncan and 5 minutes from the quaint fishing village of Cowichan Bay. In the summer teenagers would enjoy tubing on the many rivers. We are a 20 minute bike ride from a swim in the ocean. There are many local artists and artisans, vineyards to tour; mountains to climb, golf and kayaking is available locally, whale watching and there is lots of local live theatre and music. For more excitement Victoria (the capital of BC) is a 45 minute drive - lots of shopping, nightlife, and more.
