About our home

Hello travelers! **.We hope you are keeping well in this New Normal era. If you are interested to request travelling during 2020 and beginning of 2021, please note we are open to drivable destinations only at this time . Our home might also be available for GPs, if we are out of our home...feel free to contact us! We would entertain local BC travels more likely.

Presenting our Modern (but warm/welcoming) spacious 3 level detached home with breathtaking Ocean views located in the quiet and desirable neighborhood of Ambleside, West Vancouver BC Canada. This is our family home that is uncluttered, clean, open and airy, calming and a lovely place to enjoy the every changing canvas of light throughout the day from morning until sunset, whether it is sunny, dark skies, storming or snowing. Access to all places of interest: Downtown Vancouver (10 min), Beaches (3 min walk), shopping (3 min), Lions Gate Bridge (you look onto it)

At 3800 sq. ft. the home has an open concept, a reverse plan with all the 'living' on the top floor with the best view. Step through the all glass front onto the deck, and you will feel like you are on top of the world (quote from a friend) and lounge by the fireplace with music wired and be inspired by the views of the beach, ocean, downtown to the south and Vancouver Island to the west and mountains to the north. There is indoor dining space as well as a 'den' space with gliding glass doors which doubles as office or an ensuited bedroom. The main space has extra high vaulted ceilings that add to the expansive space and view. The kitchen has an 11 foot long island which makes it easy to cook and serve right on the spot. All modern amenities. The first level of the home has a self contained one bedroom suite with it own kitchen, living room, laundry that can be kept open or closed to the main levels of the home. Sometimes the suite is rented, so it is open when available. I would let you know before we confirm swaps about this. 4 Bedroom plus 1 office/den/bedroom, 5 Bathrooms. 2 car garage in total.

Location! The ocean beach is 3-5 min. walk, access to Sailing Club, soccer/field hockey fields, Spirit Trail, Park Royal Shopping Centre and Village, Sea Wall walk, Beach Volleyball, Skateboard Park, Par 3 golf etc. Ambleside is very special place with everything you need (although Downtown Vancouver is 10 minutes across the Lion's Gate Bridge). Besides the above nature and adventure, walking to 'the Village' (5 minutes) makes it very convenient to access stores at Park Royal Village including Whole Foods, Free People, Aritzia, Sephora, Y Yoga, J. Crew, Michael Kors, Kate Spade, Zara, Roots, Saje Wellness, Nike, Salomon, The Keg Steakhouse, Tap House, Milestones, Cactus Club, Trattoria, Anthropologie, Urban Outfitters, Urban Barn, Aveda, Caffe Artigiano, Starbucks etc.

Things to do in the area and beyond: Ski/hike the local mountains (Grouse, Cypress, Seymour). Grouse Grind, Grouse Gondola to the Grouse Nest for entertainment, food, skating, shows etc. Capilano Suspension Bridge, Capilano Salmon Hatchery, Whytecliff Park (scuba, swimming), Lighthouse Park, World Class mountain biking (Mount Fromme and Seymour), Stanley Park, Science World, Planetarium, Bill Reid Gallery, Museum of Anthropology, Emily Carr House on Vancouver Island, Vancouver Aquarium, VAG (Vancouver Art Gallery) prestigious UBC, Museum of Vancouver, Pacific Museum of the Earth to name a few! Enjoy the multi-cultural experiences of : Gastown, Yaletown, Downtown, Railtown, Chinatown, Commercial Drive, Main Street, Richmond and more. Squamish is 45 minutes north for rock climbing, kite, board and wind surfing. Whistler/Blackcomb is 1 hr. 15 min north of West Vancouver and makes for a beautiful daytrip if time is short.
From our area, Vancouver Island (Victorian, Nanaimo) are a ferry away (20 min drive to ferry at Horseshoe Bay) and about 40 min on the ferry for day trips or overnighters to see the Orcas (Killer Whales), vineyards, Parliament...variety is endless. You can also access many of the islands from Horseshoe Bay Ferry Terminal.

Please note for in the case of a points exchange, a modest exit clean fee will apply. ($150 CND for normal cleans. Extra charges may apply if extra time needed). Any questions please feel free to inquire.
