About our home

Our house is located in a beautiful, newer neighbourhood of Winnipeg called Island Lakes. We are less than one block from the biking trails around the lakes. The main floor has a living room, dining room, kitchen with eating area and family room with a fireplace. There is a main floor laundry and washroom. Doors from the family room lead to a deck and fenced backyard. The basement is finished with an office. Upstairs are 3 bedrooms, with a master bedroom featuring an ensuite bath.

More about us

  1. We are a family of 4 - Chris (44), Lynette (40), Stephen (14) and Liam (11). Chris and I met as students in Germany, so we are very eager to introduce our children to Europe! We would happily offer our late model cars to a family who would exchange homes with us. If you like, we would also arrange introductions to other Canadian families. Come and discover what all Winnipegers know - you can't beat our fabulous summers!

Where is it?

Winnipeg is one of Canada's most culturally vibrant urban centres. Summer in Winnipeg is one of the best in Canada. It can get very hot, and there are many recreational facilities and lakes close by. Winnipeg is situated near several amazing beaches, including Grand Beach, a heavenly white-sand destination that enjoys sizzling, sunny weather in the summer months. Located at the geographical centre of Canada, Winnipeg is easily accessed from destinations around the globe. Spanning the Red River going east on Provencher takes the traveler into Old St. B, as it is known locally. This is the largest French-speaking community in western Canada. With six distinct groups of Aboriginal People in Manitoba —Cree, Ojibway, Oji-Cree, Dene, Dakota Sioux and Métis —the richness of heritage and tradition lends itself to countless opportunities. Combine this with the millions of outdoor adventure and culture enthusiasts from around the globe, and the potential is almost endless.
