About our home

Our home is a recently remodeled 3rd floor apartment located inside a quiet secure complex. Our home is comfortable with a spacious open plan 25meter long living - dinning - kitchen area. A comfortable balcony lies off the kitchen. Two bedrooms; one king with ensuite and one queen. Flat screen TVs, Xbox, DVD, stereo and exercise cycle etc. and the housekeeper comes weekly. Inside its the all things you are familiar with - outside its ... China!

  1. Mrs (Jade) is a Sichuan native semi-retired music professional and full time homemaker while I (Ivan) am a Canadian civil engineer who has lived abroad for 40+ years and in China for much of the past twenty years and now working less than full time. We have some time and energy and are interested in visiting other places. This is our only and much cherished home and we will respect your home equally as our own.

Where is it?

Neighbourhood

Located in the south west part of Chengdu its a short walk to our local fresh produce market and supermarkets are not far. English language friendly restaurants and clubs are nearby and this area of Chengdu is the primary locale of Chinese social life with literally hundreds of restaurants and numerous tea houses, large and small, within walking distance. The immediate surrounding area is dominated by tranquil tree-lined streets, walkways and small parks with many places where locals gather to play majiang and cards; much loved Sichuanese passtimes. Public transportation is efficient and easily accessible. There are a number of UNESCO sites and numerous cultural attractions in and around Chengdu and in Sichuan. Sichuan food (the real thing), pandas and much more...
