About our home

Our home is a spacious, convenient and practical apartment - just what we need in Shanghai. We choose this apartment because of its location. Shanghai is a big city, but from here, nothing is too far away. We take the bikes for a ride to the French concession area for brunch (lots of good restaurants and cafes there), or we take the train to Hangzhou or Suzhou to experience something different. If we have a few days we will take a short haul flight to Beijing or Xian or somewhere else. Shopping, supermarkets are all close by.
We have a nanny that comes by every day, and she will help you clean and also make food - so you can spend your time exploring the city.

More about us

  1. I am a Norwegian who has lived in China for 16 years. My favorite hobby is exploring this vast country and would be happy to help you and your family planning your stay here!

My wife and I have 2 children (7 and 5) and they love Europe. We are looking for a house swap to explore the places we love in Europe, and not have to stress from one hotel to the other in the process. We will take care of your home or house as our own.

Neighbourhood

Very central but quiet area. Residential and convenient for eating and shopping. High end area and very safe. Close to Shanghai attractions - Pudong 20 min. by subway, the Bund - 15 min., as well as getting out of town. Train to Hangzhou about 40 min. trainride, and Suzhou less than an hour.
Shanghai is big but compact. Living here you will not spend much time on the road finding good restaurant or entertainment. The time on the the road is best spent on bikes - which we have available.
