Our 2 story hexagonal shaped stone house on nearly 2 and a half acres overlooks a panoramic view of an epic 900-foot waterfall (the tallest in Costa Rica) surrounded by primary jungle to the right, Manuel Antonio shoreline in the distance to the left and between the two a lush mountain valley with toucans, parrots, and blue morpha butterflies flying around. We are above Dominical Beach in the southwest (most beautiful) part of the country.
The entire top floor of the house comprises a master suite with three French doors overlooking the view. It has 30-foot high trompe l’oeil painted ceilings, a stone bathtub, a wash basin made from a giant tree trunk, and handcrafted wooden furniture including a magnificent bed, two wardrobes and a desk. It has a separate toilet on the deck, which gives a gorgeous open air view of the ocean and valley.
On the ground floor we have a custom designed kitchen and dining room, a guest room, and an indoor and an outdoor bathroom. The kitchen is equipped with gas stove, oven, two sinks, fridge/freezer, Vitamix, toaster and kitchen utensils.
Our home has been completely renovated by fine artisans. On the property we have a flying trapeze (you are welcome to purchase classes with our local staff) and spectacular 20X40 foot, 25 foot high open air yoga deck. Beneath the aerial deck is another large guest studio with a bathroom with shower.
We recommend renting a car – a 4X4 is better. There are a lot of great activities, adventures and natural beauty for children and adults nearby. In our neighborhood you can discover Nauyaca Falls, a gorgeous waterfall for swimming. There is also paragliding, quad tours, tours of local organic farms, hiking, parasailing, surfing, snorkeling, diving, whale and dolphin watch and more.
We plan on being in France April 30 to May 14. For the first part of this trip we will be visiting friends but for the last few days we will be in Paris and would like to find a beautiful place to stay while we are there. Although we will only be in Paris for a few days we are willing to trade for the entire time that we are in France.
