This home is our vacation property in central Costa Rica. We finished building it in the summer of 2007. Features include vaulted wood ceilings in the living room and master bedrooms, large windows, granite countertops, ceiling fans in the living room and bedrooms, and tiled floors. The house has a small patio and garden in the back and a balcony off the master bedroom. The house contains all new appliances, including a stovetop, a microwave, a refrigerator, a TV with DVD/VCR, and a washer/dryer.
It is located in a traditional, middle-class Costa Rican neighborhood and is convenient to many attractions. Some closeby places (1-2 hour drive or less) include a volcano, a coffee plantation, a bird zoo, rainforests, and beaches. The town of Grecia has been named, "The cleanest city in Central America," and it has a lovely central park. It is a wonderful place to experience the "real" Costa Rica. We are a multicultural couple (Costa Rica/United States). We live in the United States but travel to Costa Rica frequently. This house is located right next to my husband's parents' house. We speak both English and Spanish. I am an ESOL teacher, and my husband is a general contractor. We can travel during school breaks (around Christmas, Easter, and summertime).
