Where is it?
We live in Dubrovnik on the Riviera, the Rozat area, which dates back to the 13th c. You can see the old monastery from the house. The sea is less than 400 meters from our house. There are 2 nice restaurants serving great Croatian fare within 200 m of the house. ACI Marina, the municipal marina for Dubrovnik is about 1 kilometer from us. There, ships for hire, 2 more nice restaurants, a supermarket and Olympic size swimming pool and Bocce Ball court. The drive to Town is less than 12 minutes or you can take the inexpensive city bus (20 minutes)from its stand 700 steps from the house. Dubrovnik is a World Heritage City. New Years Eve, St. Vlaho Day (Feb 3) and the Summer-long Music, Art and Theater Festival are three big events here. Swimming and sea related activities begin in March until late October. Too much to enumerate here so Google it out the web for all of the other features of this magic medieval city. It is safe, laid back and bargain priced. Summers go above the middle 20's and in winter, it has snowed only twice (for 1 hr) in the past 8 years. The local wines and seafood are particularly outstanding. Like to travel to different countries? Bosnia is just 5 km east of here and Montenegro is 45 Km south. You can visit another country in much less than an hour! The sea in summer is usually 2 degrees warmer than the ambiant temperature. Since the apartment is available all through the entire year, we are able to offer non simultaneous exchanges.
