About our home

I have a beautiful house in Croatia, in a quiet little village, 3 km away from Tisno and the island of Murter (entrance to Kornati islands) and 17 km away from Sibenik. To be exact, I have three houses: I live on the ground floor. A big house of 100 m2. With a nice living room overlooking the garden, a spacious kitchen with all possible equipment, a bathroom with shower, a study, a separate toilet, a laundry room and entrance with ward robe. Upstairs, accesible by outside stairs, there are two identical apartments each 40 m2 big, with a complete kitchen, bathroom with toilet and rain shower, bedroom with 2 single beds and a living room with dining table and a comfortable sleeping couch. So you can stay in my house, if you want, with up to 10 people! The only thing I want you to do, is to feed and love my two cats... For that reason you cannot take your dog with you (although when you leave your dog at home, I will take care of him or her with pleasure). For the rest: relax and enjoy my house, garden and the surrounding area!

More about us

  1. Hi, I am Wilma. I used to live in Holland, but changed Holland for Croatia in 2013 and started, with my ex-husband a small company for summer holidays. So now I run the business on my own! I love to cook, that is why I have a big kit hen with all equipment needed and even the two appartments have a complete kitchen. I have to kind cats, both (used to be) females: Sfinx is black and born in Holland in 2003, Siva is grey and born in Croatia in 2011. I love them dearly and they are true and loving companions...
As I rent out the two appartments in the summer months from june till the end of september, my house will not be available in the summer. But all the other months I am willing to change it for yours if you want to take care of my cats...

Where is it?

Close to the sea, with a beautiful view from the terrace on the village of Pirovac overlooking the sea. My house is almost in the mids of nature, with beautiful walkways up to the sea and towards Tisno or Tribunj. Or you can use a bike to explore the neighbourhood, like the lovely donkey farm, only 6 km up the road to Tribunj! To bike to Tisno and the island of Murter you will have to take some hills, up to Tribunj it is rather flat. The closest village is Tisno, 3 km, with small shops and supermarkets. The nearest restaurants are at 2 km (Marin and Kapela, where you can eat grilled piglets and lamb), at the round about with the coastal road. If you are a nature lover: Murter Island is the entrance to the famous National Park Kornati, beautiful islands 1 hour sailing from the coast. Close to the house, 10 km in the direction of Zadar, lies a beautiful fresh water lake with some interesting historical facts and famous because of its birds: Vransko jezero. Inland, behind the beautiful old town of ¦ibenik and only 35 km from our house, is the National Park Krka, with the famous waterfalls (which are in winter overwelmingly strong). ¦ibenik itself has lots to offer: the impressive cathedral of Saint Jacob (Unesco World Heritage), with the famous heads of 15th century inhabitants sculptured on the wall., beautiful restored castles up the hill and a very old centre, location for 'Game of thrones' series. When you take the coastal road up north you will end in Zadar, one of the most beautiful old city's of Dalmatia. With the old Byzanthium church of Saint Donat being my favourite building of Croatia. But Zadar has more to offer. Nice shops, nice food, a famous vegetable market, an interesting Archeologic Museum and an impressive sea organ, which attracts people from all over the world. If you take the coastal road towards the south, you will pass not only ¦ibenik, but also the island village of Primo¨ten, the old town of Trogir (Unesco World Heritage) and Split, with its Roman Palace of Diocletian and the surrounding shopping area with lots of nice restaurants, small shops and musea. Split and Zadar both have lots to offer in winter and summer. Close to our home you will find, accesable through a biking trail, the beautiful village of Tribunj and the small town of Vodice.
