Lemba is a village suburb of Paphos, Cyprus (birthplace of the mythical goddess of love, Aphrodite) located approximately 4 km (2.5 mi) north of the town of Paphos. Neighboring villages are Empa, Kissonerga and Chloraka. The house is exactly on the border with Chloraka.
The area is located on top of a hill overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, and is set in one of the most fertile parts of Cyprus. The area produces citrus, olives, tomatoes and market-garden vegetables, and is one of the few parts of Europe where commercial banana production is possible.
The beach is a 4/5 min drive away and this one floor villa is perfect for its proximity to both the new town, the old harbour town with its Venetian Castle, its cafes, taverns and public baths and beaches, there are also golf resorts and the new shopping mall/cinema complex within a 10 min drive. A supermarket is a 2 min walk away and a play area where the neighbourhood children play is conveniently nearby. The area is extremely safe.
The best beach in Paphos is Coral Bay and that is a 10min drive away.
Lemba/Chloraka has a a walking/running path along the coast for a number of KM (not sure how many!) and a lovely playground for children on the sea front.
Kato Paphos/Harbour area also has a coastal path to/from the Castle (an area where there are no buildings) and the harbour and continues up along the main hotel and public beach areas. It really is lovely to walk/run/cycle early in the morning and late evening or perhaps go for a swim as there are public changing rooms.
Paphos has 3 great golf courses Aphrodite Hills, Elea Estate and Minthis Hills - so Winter holidays are a great option.
