About our home

Our apartment is 12 years old, has 2 sleeping rooms (one big and one normal), one study room, roomy living room, kitchen corner and the balcony. The bigger of the sleeping rooms is in the attic. You will enjoy great view from our balcony - you can see the whole city of Prague, encluding the historicle castle (all visitors love this). You find here everything you need for your stay - incl. computer with internet which you can use (no limits). Common house equipment (2 x tv, hifi, washing machine, dish-washer, microwave, grill etc.) is the matter of course, in the attic we have air - conditioning (individual) as well.

More about us

We are family of 3 people and two cats: Marketa is 42 as well as her husband Vasek. Their son Jan is 18. WE HAVE TWO TOM-CATS, WHICH STAY IN OUR APPARTMENT WHEN WE EXCHANGE, SO YOU SHOULD LOVE CATS IF YOU WANT TO EXCHANGE WITH US! We are prepared to take care of your cat during our stay, too! ABOUT US: Marketa works in television as director of creative department, except this she makes up and writes television movies and serial stories. She published also some books and teaches screenwriting and creative writing at the university. Vasek works as manager in the production logistics. They all love travelling and because they love to travel a lot, they are looking for some exchange to make it a bit cheaper! They love meeting new people and love to talk to them. Unfortunately Vasek does not speak any foreign language (but he is learning English), but Marketa speaks English, Dutch and Russian very well. Jan speaks English well. WE ARE VERY INTERESTED TO SWAP FOR WEEKENDS (WEEKEND IN DIFFERENT EUROPEAN PLACES AND CITIES) AND FOR LONGER WEEKENDS (FRI - SUN, FRI - MON, SAT - MON).
Right now (Summer 2010) we are looking for exchange to Croatia (Istria) or to the North of Italy (Veneto), somewhere close to the beach.

Where is it?

Neighbourhood

Our apartment is new, has been built in 1999. It is located directly on the boarder of the capital Prague in place called Dolni Brezany. Dolni Brezany has 4000 inhabitants and you find here everything you need for your comfortable stay. Just 100m from the house you find luxury restaurant, modern disco with karaoke bar, fitness, hairdressing studio or cosmetic studio, also little supermarket. Dolni Brezany is modern satellite village, most of the houses are completaly new here. The village has own school, medical centre, pharmacy, wellnes centre, post office, two petrol stations, car service, lots of charming restaurants and so on. Dolni Brezany is known in the Czech Republic as "very good address". There is good public bus transport to Prague, it drives every 5 - 10 minutes in peak hours (otherwise every 15 - 20 minutes). If you do not have a car, you reach the the historical centre of Prague within 20 - 30 minutes. If you do have a car, you reach the centre in 15 - 20 minutes. This location is good for you if you prefer to live and stay in quiet green district (very friendly for children) but on the border of the capital that is very easy to reach.
