About our home

Our cottage was built in 1880, and through several renovations it has kept its old-world charm. It is located in the middle of a nature park in the Sumava mountains, West Bohemia, with breath-taking views just few meters away, in the middle of a tiny village with other 10 pictoresque cottages. It is perfect for someone who longs for a quiet, nature-bound holidays away from civilisation, noise and people. The evenings in front of crackling fire with good wine in the hand are unforgetable. Attetion - there is no TV or Internet connection, on purpose, so for some teenage home exchangers this place might be a bit boring :-))

More about us

We are a German-Czech family with 2 kids (15 and 3), managing director of a TV channel and myself as an enterpreneur. We love both holidays in the nature (preferably mountains for skiing and hiking) and in the cities, as we love also visiting art galeries, cafés and generally the big city life. We are new in the home exchange business and we are looking forward to meet through this opportunity interesting and inspiring people and make few exciting exchanges. Our cottage is our second home, so we are flexible and available for non-simultaneous exchanges. It is about 1,5 hour from our home, so we can meet you and asist you with all the questions you might have.

Where is it?

Neighbourhood

The cottage is surrounded by a large numbers of sightseings: historical towns, view points, castles, ruines and also by a beautiful unspoiled nature - great opportunity for cycling, walking, hiking, swimming, fishing, cross-country skiing etc. There are several rustic restaurants nearby and if you have enough of silence and meditation, ca 13 km away there are some shopping opportunities in Susice town. Prague (with airport) is about 100 km away, the nearest big town is Pilsen - 75 km away.
