About our home

The apartment has 4 separate rooms in addition to a kitchen and a bathroom. Three rooms are very spacious. The largest two have a beautiful old ornamented ceiling used as living room and dining room. From the living room, there is a "hobbit-style" balcony from where you can see the market place. It is equipped with a new flatscreen TV with Chromecast, a cosy armchair for reading books and a sofa arrangement for cosy afternoons and evenings. The large bedroom is equipped with a premium kingsize bed as well as a raised toddler bed. The last room is smaller and sleeps one. If you need more beds, we can prepare the sofa in the living room - for the purpose, it is a sleeping couch and very comfy!

The apartment has access to a garden or courtyard through the backstairs where you can find toys and garden furniture in the summer.

Our apartment is of course fully equipped with furniture, kitchen utensils, linnen and towels. There is a free wifi-connection and TV with Chromecast, a washing machine in the corridor and a dishwasher in the kitchen. We have two adult bikes and two toddler bikes as well as a stroller.

Where is it?

Experience the best of both worlds: Nature and a buzzling city life in Aarhus!
The apartment is situated in the old historic neighbourhood of Frederiksbjerg. It is spatious and is centrally located within 2 minutes walking distance from the local market place (wednesdays and saturdays), an indoor swimming pool, a large public playground with farm animals and a rooftop basketball court. There are grocery stores and delicious take away outside the door, and from the apartment it is a 15 minutes walk to the Marselisborg forest located along the coastline with a wildlife resort, art installations (the 'eternity bridge') and endless trails for running and MBT. Further into the forest you will find the infamous and modern MOMU museum of archeology and ethnography as well as uniquely located restaurants (in museum and in an old water mill etc.). The hip shopping and dining street Jægergårdsgade is a 5 minutes walk away and the contemporary art museum AROS can be reached within 10 minutes by foot.

The train station is only a 10-15 minutes walk away, so it is also easy to reach our place without a car.
