About our home

Our spacious home is originally from 1936, but has been fully renovated during the last years to a classic modern Nordic and simplistic style with only the best materials and solutions. The house is located in the best neighbourhood in the city, called 'Marselis', close to the city, beach and forest as well as the Queens summerhouse and the public park 'Mindeparken'. The ground floor has access to the terraces surrounding the house on all sides and there is generally a lot of room for a big family. If you have boys, they will find lots of nice toys in Augusts rooms, our girls' rooms fit the needs of teenagers - large beds and nicely decorated. The girls' rooms have direct access to their own bathroom. There's a separate bathroom on the top floor next to the master bedroom. Aarhus was just listed as one of the 10 European cities to visit https://edition.cnn.com/travel/article/beautiful-european-cities-few-tourists/index.html and is a great way to explore Denmark and danish 'hygge'.

Neighbourhood

Moments away from the city, the beach as well as the forest, excellent for a beautiful run or mountain biking. The house is just a five minute walk from the amusement park, Tivoli Friheden (https://www.visitaarhus.com/ln-int/tivoli-friheden-gdk603879), with open air concerts most Fridays during the summer. Aarhus has a lot to offer for families as well as foodies and anybody interested in design, architecture or just enjoying a small city with a lot to offer. In this article there are a few examples https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2017/10/12/travel/what-to-do-36-hours-in-aarhus-denmark.html. You will have easy access to shopping as well as grocery shopping from our house, and if you fancy cooking, you can find all you need at the outdoor market close by and take benefit of our well-equipped kitchen.
