About our home

Lovely apartment in a quiet, yet central, part of Aarhus - Denmarks second largest city.
We live on the 2nd floor of a 5 floor building, a part of a big apartmenthouse with central open backyard. The building is "charmingly old", but everything is in fine working order.
We have a small bathroom with WC and shover - this is the only room we wish were bigger! In our yard there is shared laundry and drying facilities, so no washingmachine in the apartment. But we have two fine livingrooms (one we use more for work than for "just" living), a good kitchen and a nice and quiet bedroom.

More about us

  1. My husband and I are in our early fourties, working as social teachers with adults (Jan in a private home, Hanne in a workshop). We haven't tried home-swapping before, but as we are now in a position where we have the chance to go to S.F. to be around some old friends of ours and live "unbound" for some months, we thought swapping sounded like a good option. The dates stated in this ad are the limits to the extention of our (long) vacation. If you wish to shorten the exchange by a week or two at either end of the period, let us know, as this is fine by us.

Where is it?

We live on an old avenue with the local sportsstadium at the one end (~1/2 mile from us)and a church at the other (~200 yards from us).
Every Saturday and Wednesday we have a farmers marked around the corner, and in the same spot you'll find antique- and carboot-sales on several Sundays throughout the Summer.
15 minutes walk(or two minutes and you can catch the bus!) north and you are at the main station and central Aarhus with all its great shops and cafés, and 10 minutes walk south and you are walking along the bay, into the forest.
We think we have it all - only no mountains.
Copenhagen is 3 hours away by train.
