About our home

Welcome to Copenhagen and our lovely home close to Christianshavn channels, the Opera, Europe's longest pedestrian street – Strøget, freetown Christiania and the beach – Amager Strandpark.
Our home is spacious, light and furnished with a mix of Danish design and flea market treasures.
It is clean and well equipped and has a nice atmosphere. It is situated in the centre of Copenhagen in the district of Amager; at the same time close to the city centre, the beach and the green areas of Amager fælled (great for bike riding, kayaking and running).
Our apartment is newly renovated and situated at the third floor in a classic well-kept red brick building from year 1900. We love living here because of the location and friendly atmosphere.
The apartment is 131m2 and we are a family of tree living here, but it can easily house a larger family as well as couples or singles. The only restriction we have is that it is a non-smokers home.
The apartment has:
- A large light living room facing west with a sofa corner and dining table seating 6-persons. You will have access to wireless internet.
- A TV-room in prolongation of the living room with an extra sofa/bed.
- A Bedroom with a large double bed and access to our 6 m2 east facing balcony with table and chairs to enjoy the sun or have breakfast/dinner in the open.
- An office with wardrobe and space for extra beds or a baby bed
- A newly renovated and well equipped kitchen.
- A bathroom with bathtub.
- An extra room with washing machine.
From the balcony you can look down at a green and cozy courtyard with a playground, lawn, furniture and basketball court.

Where is it?

Amager used to be a working class area of Copenhagen. Today it is a mix of the old inhabitants but with lots of creatives and artists living here as well. Down the street you will find the beautiful, green ramparts of Christiania with nice walking or running routes. There are grocery stores in all price ranges within a 2 min walking distance from the apartment and if you feel like eating some take-away after a long day of sightseeing there are plenty to choose from as well. Furthermore the charming cafés on Christianshavn and freetown Christiania is very close by. We will give you recommendations of nice places to go for dining, clubbing, shopping and other local tips.

It will take you 12 min by metro to reach the apartment from the airport and we live 100 meters from the underground metro station – We love the location as the metro will take you to the city centre in 4 minutes or to the beach in 2 minutes. We have excellent public transportation in Copenhagen and with only 10 minutes by bus/bike to the central station you can go to all parts of Denmark very easily. To visit the city of Malmö in Sweden will take you less than an hour by train, and makes a nice one day trip.
If you want to explore the city among Copenhageners you are most welcome to borrow our bikes, as Copenhagen is the bicycle city of the world. You can bike to The Little Mermaid, visit the other districts of Copenhagen or go for a swim at the beach in no time.
