About our home

I have a beautiful loft-style flat in the centre of Copenhagen. The building is a refurbished factory, so it's quite industrial looking, with high ceilings and large windows overlooking the street. The flat has a bed-loft, a fully equipped kitchen, and a nice, spacious bathroom.

Rantzausgade is a busy street in Nørrebro, a part of Copenhagen inhabited by students, artists, professionals, and families from all over the world alike. Is located within walking distance of all the sites of Copenhagen, and is only a stone-throw away from Assistenskirkegården, a large old park/cemetery (a bit like Pere Lachaise in Paris) used extensively in the summer by Copenhageners for sunbathing, barbecuing, etc. The area is full of interesting shops, cafés and bars, and people are very friendly.

I'm 24 years old, and I study English Literature at Copenhagen University. When I'm not studying, I work in the news room of an international media agency, and I free-lance as a copywriter for a couple of companies. This idea of swopping homes instead of living in a hotel really appeals to me, as I think it might provide me with a new way of discovering cities, not having to stay in an area full of tourists. I will be travelling alone.
