“We spent a fantastic 2 weeks in this stunning architect designed house belonging to Solvej and Viggo. The house is very modern, spacious and comfortable and has a very large landscaped garden with a wooden play tower and rope bridge that the kids had great fun on. There is also a lovely outdoor seating area (where we ate outside in the evening, and enjoyed our morning coffee) and a spacious conservatory as well. The house is in a great location for days out to Legoland, local beaches, historic towns and cities such as Ribe, Kolding, Aarhus, Christianfeld and the Jelling monuments. We also visited the fabulous Trapholt design museum, took a trip on the world's oldest paddle steamer in Silkebourg and had a train trip to Copenhagen where we spent the night and explored a little of the beautiful capital. When we had a rest from sightseeing there was plenty for the kids to do in the house, including a good selection of DVDs and Wii games and sunloungers and magazines for relaxing in the beautiful garden. Solvej, Viggo and their two children are a lovely, friendly family and we really enjoyed the whole exchange experience with them. They took great care of our house and gave us lots of tips about places to visit in Denmark, both locally and further afield. We would very strongly recommend an exchange with this family as it was such a positive experience.”

“We spent last summer 2011 holidays in this wonderful house designed by the father of this family. We enjoy their great garden and surroundings with our children. In this part of Denmark you can enjoy a beautiful countryside and little cities with a lot of interesting activities. Of course you have Legoland park very near there! We have a fantastic experience with this affectionate family. They made things very easy after and during the exchange. Gracias Solvej, Viggo and children!!!”
Where is it?
We live in a village on a quiet road with lots of friendly neighbours around (both senior couples and families with small children). For food you can choose between a gourmet restaurant, a pizza take away and the groceries at the supermarket (all within a kilometer). You can picnic by the stream that runs through the village.
The closest, major attraction is Legoland (25 km). The city of Kolding is 15 km away with shopping, restaurants, kids-friendly swim bath, historic castle, sailing on the fjord, art and design museum and more. For a day trip, go to the larger city of Århus (much more shopping, many more restaurants, art museums and other attractions) or to the beautiful, wonderful castle of Egeskov in Funen. Or to the wide beaches of Westjutland. You can also visit Hans Christian Andersens house in Odense, Funen, for a nice day trip.
