Where is it?

North Jutland:

The top of Denmark is an island, split from mainland Jutland by the enormous Limfjord. To the north, it juts dramatically out into sea on all sides. You’ll find that this isolation produces a very special light and more hours of sunshine than the rest of Denmark. The landscape is beautiful but harsh, with endless white beaches, sand dunes, cliffs, heathland and forests. Witness the bizarre sight of trees bending east from the sheer force of the prevailing wind or take a break from the Wind.

Frederikshavn is a perfect spot to explore North Jutland. From the habour near the house there is also ferry going to both Norway and Sweden - only 40 km to Skagen (to top of Denmark) and 40 km to Aalborg city. The area offers a lot of natural sites, art and culture. Find inspiration on or

The house is located directly Next to Nordre Skanse - The first defensive works at Fladstrand, built by German troops 1627-29.
Located by a natural harbour and still today there is a harbour for small boats, which can be used by the inhabitants in this part of town.
The entrenchments were to protect German troops against a sea invasion by the Danish Navy.
