“Exploring Denmark in one week is too short! Luckily we were with this house close to the beach and Copenhagen, so, we visited the highlights. The house in Greve was well situated and comfortable after a long day walking. A beautiful garden and splendid rooms, all clean and neat. The communication with the owners was quick and easy. Highly recommended!”
Karina's reviewsAs a host (10)
“We loved the place of Karina and can highly tecommenf it. The house is very cosy and comfortable and surrounded by a a hugh, flowerfull garden where we could pick you own fruits. It was a perfect home for a swap with teenage kids: as they had a table tennis in the garage, a footbal field, a small pool and even a gym. The house is situated in a calm and nice litlw town. It was also very easy to reach Copenhagen from there: we only took a short trip by train. ”
“Karina and Jakob's tastefully renovated cottage combines 19th-century charm with 21st-century comfort and convenience. It's cosy and spacious at the same time. The village of Grevetoft is a calm oasis with a medieval church, old schoolhouse and thatched cottages - within easy reach of the coast and the Danish capital. We had a wonderful, relaxing visit in mid-October, when the apples and blackberries in the garden were ripe for picking. An added bonus. Karina went out of her way to make us feel at home and communication with her was effortless. Since we did a classic swap, I can recommend this family as guests too. They left our home spotless, with a charming note and thoughtful thank you gift. ”
“We had a great stay at Karina's house in Greve. The house is more like three little houses in one, which makes it very cozy with different levels and turns inside the house. Lovely decorated, spacious and light. A beautiful, big garden with lots of seating in sun or shade as you wish. Great for the kids too, who had lots of space running around, a trampolin and even a pool. A fantastic beach is within easy reach by car, we enjoyed it a lot, as there are hardly any people on this local beach, with beautiful white soft sand. Day trips to nearby Copenhagen and the great Safari Park in Maribo made for a great trip the whole family enjoyed. Karina was a swift responder, easy to communicate with, she left us with tons of information and recommendations, a full fridge and fresh flowers on the table. We felt very much welcomed and at home. Highly recommend this swap, especially with little kids. Thank you so much. ”
“We had a lovely few days in Karina's beautiful house and visiting Copenhagen. The house is only a 25 minute drive from the airport and a 5 minute drive to a very regular and reliable train that takes you into the heart of the city. The house was immaculately clean and tidy and Karina even, very kindly, left some lovely groceries in her fridge for our first breakfast. She was very easy to communicate with about the trip and we had a folder of advice and helpful things do do in the local area. I would thoroughly recommend both Karina as a host and her gorgeous house. ”
“We did a direct Swap with Karina and her family and it all went very well. Karina's home is very clean, nicely decorated and in a quiet residential area just outside Copenhagen. We drove a short distance to the local station and took the train into the City Centre (very easy) and spent two great days exploring the city Centre including some time on the canals. Day 3 was spent at the impressive Frederiksborg Castle (we like History). There are several good restaurants a short drive away from the house and in the summer the little harbour and beach area nearby would be lovely to spend time in - sadly a bit cold on our visit in October. Karina left our own house spotless and when I visited our local pub several days after returning home, the bar staff told me the Schytte family were charming, lovely people. I would thoroughly recommend a swap with Karina. ”
“Karina and Jacob's beautiful family home was spacious, modern, well equipped and conveniently located for visiting Copenhagen and the surrounding area. The house has a wonderful garden which our children loved playing in on the swing set, trampoline as well as picking fresh raspberries. It is in a quiet, picturesque village with convenient and regular buses to the nearby train station, with trains to Copenhagen every 10 minutes. We travelled into Copenhagen many times and found the trains to be clean, reliable and free because we were using the Copenhagen Card which was excellent value. Our hosts also kindly lent us the use of their car so we were able to discover many of the local areas. Such fantastic, kind hosts, Karina and Jacob communicated brilliantly and responded to a problem with the electricity within minutes, sending round a local electrician who arrived within an hour fixing the issue immediately. Our holiday in Denmark surpassed all of our expectations and we feel very grateful to Karina and family for allowing us to stay in their fabulous home and for the comprehensive guestbook full of suggestions for activities, walks and restaurants. ”
“Karina´s house is really lovely. very confortable, peacefull, relaxing place. Very near to copenhagen and Sweeden. They are very friendly and leave you a lot of information, even the fridge full of things. Recomended 100%. ”
“This was our first swap and everything was like we hoped for or even better. We spent a week in their wonderful home with our family (seven adults and one infant) and their house had all we needed to enjoy a vacation such as a table tennis, trampoline, bikes and other good facilities. We tok train to Copenhagen and spent a day there, visited the Tivoli, did some shopping and strolled down "Strøget" . Karina and Jakob are the nicest pepole and were very helpful with everything. Their House is well located in a nice small town close to the beach. We definitely recomend to Swap with them and would like to do it again sometimes in near future.”
“We much enjoyed our stay in Greve, and treated Karina’s home with the same love and care as we treat our own property in Punta Cana. Karina’s house is very nice, and our communication was good. Greve is a small and quiet community near the beach, not far from Copenhagen. We can recommend a visit, which is a good starting point to explore Denmark and surrounding Nordic countries. ”
