About our home

Our beautiful, historic two-storage house, gently renovated through time, so it's perfectly up-to-date and still with a lot of charm.

Our home is a family home with lots of heart.

Our lovely house is from 1917 and in aprox. 2500 square feet.
We have three living rooms en-suites. One being the family room with a big smart-tv, a fire place and sofa arrangement. One being the dining room with dining table and chairs for 12 people and one being our library and computer room.
From the dining room you can access our kitchen-dining room where theres is also room for 10 people to sit down and eat together.
From the kitchen you can enter our patio, where we have a sofa arrangement, grill and a beautiful view of our garden.
In the scullery we have an extra kitchenspace and of course both washer and dryer.

All over the house we have WiFi access and you can use Netflix, HBO and Viaplay. If you need to work remote it's not a problem.

In the kitchen and scullery you have all the conveniences you need: Dishwasher, oven, hub, microwave, kitchen supplies etc. We love to cook and bake so we have almost everything you can think off.

We have three kids bedroom. One with a single bed, another with a single bed (but with room for our queen size air mattress) with a flat screen tv with our PS3, PS4 and a Wii and the third room with a queen size bed and a queen size sofabed.
The master bedroom also with a smart tv, a soft armchair and a adjustable king size bed.

We also have two nice bathrooms - one with a bath tub and the other with a shower.

Our house is allergy friendly and that means that we don't have pets, smoking is prohibited inside, the pillows and blankets are without feathers, we have extra cleaning for minimize dust etc.

Outside we have a large garden with lots of cozy corners for relaxing and dining. Our garden has lots of beautiful flowers, big trees for shadow and sunny spots for enjoying the good weather. We have a large trampoline and a gasgrill.

We have several bikes for both adults and kids because the local surroundings just calls for being explored by foot, car or bike.
In Denmark in general we have lots of bike trails and scenic routes.

We are looking for both shot swap but also 1+ month swaps.

Where is it?

Neighbourhood

The city we live in is called Haslev. We live very close to the center of the city (400 meters). Haslev is a small town but here is everything that your heart desire: Cinema, bowling alley, lots of supermarkets, 10+ restaurants and take-out, hairdressers, clothing stores, bakery, barber shops, dry cleaners etc. There is a small farmers market every friday and a larger one over the summer in the weekend.
It’s very pedestrian friendly, so it’s so easy to get around.
The city has lots of celebrations and events throughout the year and is a very livery town.

Haslev is in Faxe municipality, it lies in the southern part of Zealand. About 60 km (37 mi) from Copenhagen, it has a population of aprox. 12.000.

If you are more to nature you just have to go down the street (300 meters) where we have a lovely forrest just waiting to be explored.

All round Haslev is beautiful nature with hike routes, bike pads and scenic routes for cars as well.

We have a train station ready to take you anywhere you want just a five minutes walk from our house.

10 minutes away by car we have Aventure Camp which is a climbing park and the Forrest Tower, which is on TIME Magazines list over the best 100 places to visit in the world. TIME Magazine writes: "How does one measure the greatness of a place? (…) The sense that one has stumbled upon the extraordinary ”

10 minutes drive in the other direction you will find a real piece of our history with a real Viking excavation. In 2014, archaeologists discovered the forgotten Viking Castle that is said to have been the castle of the first King of the Danes and you can now visit it.

A 20 minute drive away we have Zelands best beach and we have Stevns Klint . Stevns Klint is a white chalk cliff and is on the UNESCO list.

We have four amazing estates, castles and parks of Gisselfeld, Bregentved, Vallø and Gjorslev open to the public within a short drive.

If you want more we are close to our Capital Copenhagen with Tivoli, The Little Mermaid, Michelin restaurants etc.

We have lots of amusement parks here on Zealand, that are for all ages and likes. It could be Tivoli (Copenhagen), Bakken (Klampenborg - the worlds oldest amusementpark), BonBonland (Holme Olstrup - 10 minutte drive), Knuthenborg Safari Park (Maribo on Lolland - largest animal park in Northern Europe), Middelaldercenteret (a live museum in the medival time - Maribo on Lolland) and a lot more.

No where in Zealand is there more than 72 kilometers to the ocean.

Shopping is all around. We have lots of shopping malls but also lots of pedestrian car-free outdoors shopping areas - usually with lots of charm, cobblestones and lively atmosphere.
