Our house is a characterful 1927s brickstone house, situated in a green suburban area only 15 km north of Copenhagen.
On the ground floor there´s a living room with french doors to the adjoining dining room from where you can access the terrace and garden directly. Next door is the kitchen and the stairs leading upstairs to our master bedroom, a small extra bedroom as well as bathroom and children´s room.
The garden is spacious and we spend much time here. There´s a sunny terrace in the front of the house and we are currently building another terrace where you can enjoy the evening meals. There´s a play house, a trampoline, swings and a sand box for the children. In summer the garden is ripe with berries, vegetables and herbs.
We live in peaceful surroundings with direct access to the forrest from our back garden, so you can easily explore the forrest by foot. You can also walk to the nearby historic outdoors museum, Frilandsmuseet, and the industrial museum, Brede Værk.
The city of Lyngby is 4 kms away and offers excellent shopping opportunities.
Copenhagen city centre is 15 km away and is easy to reach by car, or even better by parking your car (for free) at the nearby train station and taking the 20 mins ride to the centre. Here you can enjoy the city sites such as Tivoli, Nyhavn, main pedestrian street Strøget, and take part in the many outdoors events that takes place here during the summer.
You can also go north to see Elsinore castle and the historic city, or hop on a boat to Helsingborg in Sweden for a day trip.
We are a family of four (Susanne 44, Thomas 45, Eliabeth 6 and Rose 3). We love to travel and explore new places together. We did a home exhange in Sweden last year and found it to be a great way to travel.
