More about us

  1. My wife Malene and I are in the thirties with two kids (aged 3 and 6). As a lawyer and high school teacher, respectively, we have lived and worked in the Copenhagen area for more than 10 years. We enjoy traveling but have not tried home exchange before. We look forward to see what it is like.

Neighbourhood

The townhouse is located in one of the most beautiful areas north of Copenhagen. The forest is equally close by and great for mountainbiking and hiking/jogging. A beautiful lake is 600 meters nearby, where you can go for a swim or fishing (swimming is for swimmers not toddlers). Toddlers/smaller kids should be taken to the beach by the sea or on the other side of the lake (10-20 minutes by car). A cruise will take you around the lake and stop at museums and other sights.
There is 20 minutes by train to Copenhagen center. We would usually recommend to take the car to the station (3 minutes) and explore Copenhagen city by public transportation and foot.

Local shopping includes groceries and all other necessities as well as some clothing boutiques. By train there is 5 minutes to a huge shopping center (in Lyngby) where every kind of shopping is available.
