About our home

Our home is an open house with plenty of light. In the ground floor we have the kitchen which is open towards the dining area and living room. Doors from both dining area and living room leads to the outdoor terrace. Going up half a staircase we have a bathroom and 3 kids rooms. The kids rooms have one bed each. Up another half staircase we have a bedroom for two. In the basement an extra room with two beds and some extra mattresses are available as well as an extra bathroom.

More about us

  1. We are a family of 5, René (age 43) and Helle (age 42) with our 3 kids, Anna, Christian and Juliane aged 13, 12 and 9. René is a medical doctor in a childrens department and Helle is a pharmacist working with development of medicine. In our spare time we love to be with friends. In the summertime the nearby sea is enjoyed with swimming, sailing and kayaking. We love to travel, meet people and see new places.
We have a cat, Messi, who goes in and out himself but would like food and water once a day.

Where is it?

Our house is located in Humlebaek, a small town north of Copenhagen. We are located 300 m from the sea and the modern art museum Louisiana placed viewing the sea. Closeby is the beautiful nature of North Sealand and Copenhagen can be reached in 30 minutes by train or car. The trainstation and daily shopping is 5 minutes walk away. North of Humlebaek you find the town of Elsingore with the Kronborg castle (known as the home of Hamlet). From Elsingore ferries to Sweden runs every 20 minutes and a ferry to the small island Hven (Swedish) also parts from Elsingore. Along the coast you will find small harbours with old fishermans houses. 10 km south of Humlebaek is Rungted where the home of the Danish author Karen Blixen is found, now a museum (Rungstedgaard). Of the coast there is possibility to go surfing, kitesurfing or kayaking (we have a kayak available in the garden). The neighbourhood is friendly and quiet.
