About our home

Our cozy home is located in Skjoldungernes Land National Park in a small, quiet village by Roskilde Fjord with a beautiful and therapeutic view of the water and a small private harbor just 75 m from the house. The town Roskilde which history and surrounding areas date back to the Viking and Middle Ages is only 15 minutes’ drive (15 km) away. Roskilde is a modern city which offers good shopping opportunities, cafes and restaurants.
There are lots of opportunities to venture out into the countryside. The varied landscape is filled with small and large forests, manor estates, farmland and meadows and the beautiful fjord with islands, islets and rich birdlife. All of this offer good possibilities for watersport, biking, hiking and golfing. Ledreborg Palace Golf Club is located only 10 minutes’ drive away as is Sagnlandet Lejre (the land of legends) which is an atmospheric and exciting tourist attraction for the whole family. 10,000 years of Danish history brought to life, Houses and settings from the Iron Age, Stone Age and the Viking Age.
Copenhagen, the capital of Denmark, is located 35 minutes’ drive (40 km) away so there are good opportunities of experiencing both the country side and the big city life in Denmark.
Our home is 105 m2 (1 bedroom,1 big living room, kitchen and 1 bathroom) plus 60 fully habitable m2 downstairs (2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom with bathtub) and a wonderful, big wooden terrace overlooking the fjord.
