Neighbourhood

Copenhagen is divided into 5 districts which are divided by old city bridges and 5 small lakes. We live next to one of them at Østerbro.

It's a neighbourhood with plenty of good shopping opportunities, specialty shops, restaurants and café. On Sunday the people of Copenhagen walk around the lakes that bind the city together.

There is a ten minute walk and then you are in the heart of Copenhagen. In five minutes walk you can visit the National Gallery of Denmark, the Botanical Garden, Rosenborg Castle, Kastellet and beautiful historic parks with playing fields and playgrounds.

There are many good options locally and good transport links by bus, metro and train. Car parking in the area costs money. Copenhagen is known for being a bicycle town and we have two adult and two children's bikes which you can borrow. There are 3 km to the nearest beach.
