About our home

This family-friendly house is a perfect place for exploring Copenhagen from an idyllic setting, only 15-20 minutes away from the city centre w public transport right next to the house. A great city get-away w private garden & grocery shopping nearby. This town house has an open space kitchen/living room on the ground floor, and it is perfect for 1-2 families. It has 3 bedrooms on the first floor (one double room and two single/children's rooms), and 1 double room in the basement. The house has a large terrasse and a private garden (incl. trampolin, playhouse, sandbox and football goals), and is situated in a quiet neighbourhood with a park and playgrounds nearby. It is a family-friendly house with almost all children's gear available, including two high chairs and toys (LEGO, BRIO, etc).

More about us

  1. We are a family of four (children aged 3 and 6 yrs old), and we live in a charming town house just outside Copenhagen. I work in the humanitarian field for a non-governmental organisation, and my husband works as an IT architect at the Danish Broadcasting Company. We love to explore new cultures and countries, and love the idea of a home exchange to get a local perspective on things and the opportunity to share our home and new experiences with like-minded families.

Where is it?

The house is situated in a quiet, green area called Grøndalsvænge in short distance to Copenhagen centre. The area is known for its traditional brick houses built for working class families in the 1930s with small, charming gardens. There are grocery shops, cafés, a bakery, a fish shop, take-away places, and a pharmacy just across the road, and the well-acclaimed Italian restaurant "La Buca" is closeby. A long park area stretches in the area right next to the house, ideal for running or visiting the local playgrounds.
It takes 15-20 minutes to get to Copenhagen city centre by bus or train. The station is two minutes away, and the bus goes directly to the centre. You can also rent city bikes closeby, which is just as fast as public transport (and the real way to get around Copenhagen :-)).
