Welcome to our old house apartment in the city.
Our apartment is on the 1st and 2nd floor of a shared house in Copenhagen. The house is from 1937 and our apartment is fully renovated and full of charm.
The house is ideally situated only 15 minutes by bus from the city centre, 10 minutes on bicycle from the beach and also fairly close to the airport (no planes flying over). You have a number of supermarkets, 2-3 cafes and loads of takeaway within a 5-10 minutes walk, but the house is on a closed street and quiet nights are guaranteed.
We have three bedrooms, two living rooms, a bathroom and a fully equipped open kitchen. The house accommodates two adults and two to three children. Our daughters rooms are full of toys, and if you bring children they are more than welcome to dive in and play with them.
On the 1st floor you will find our well equipped kitchen, one of our living rooms and two bedrooms. On this floor you will also find a lovely, sunny balcony where we spend most afternoons/nights during the summer. You will have a great view of the neighboring gardens and It’s a great place to relax and watch the sunset at night.
Our second floor is an old attic that has just been renovated. It is now our second living room and an additional bedroom.
We share our house with a really friendly family of three (Ina, Christian and their daughter Lily). They do home exchanges themself on Love Home swap, and are happy to help you operate the washing machine in the basement, suggest a good restaurant etc.
In front of the house we have a 350 m2 private garden with a small sandbox, a swing, a playhouse and a trampoline for the children. The garden is closed of, so small children can’t venture off on their own. Next to the garden our bicycles are parked. We have bikes for two adults and two children. We even have a bicycle trailer for children and/or groceries. Copenhagen is famous for its many bikelanes, and from the house to the city centre you will be on bicycle lanes 99% of the time.
Copenhagen has a lot to offer. If you are looking for great restaurants Copenhagen has some of the best in the world, if you want to explore the city with your children, a trip to Tivoli would probably make you “parent of the day” and if you like to stay our late the lively meat packing district will definitely keep you busy.
If you want to explore outside the city Malmö, Sweden’s second largest city is only 30 minutes away by train. Dragør, a small charming fishing village, is 20 minutes away by bus and the world famous art museum Louisiana is situated just north of the city.
We are looking forward to swap homes with you.
