About our home

Welcome to our unique patrician villa in Copenhagen, placed on the top of ”Bellahøj” (= ”Beauty hill”) overlooking the skyline of the Danish capital.

All rooms are very light with more than 3.5 meter high ceiling.
We have a almost new (but still a bit ”retro”) kitchen where we can easily seat eight people. From the kitchen we have direct access to the garden.

Our bathroom is brand new with bathtub, shower and heat below the stonefloor.

All rooms at the ground floor got plenty of space. Relax in the livingroom in front of the flatpanel-TV, try the newest FIFA 2012 at the play-station, sink deep into the Fatboy beanbag with a good book or play with the kids in the playing room or even play a small indoor soft-football match in the hall if the weather is bad. The playing room is also used as a sleeping room for kids. On the ground floor we also have a huge bedroom with a king size bed.

At the first floor we have two smaller sleeping rooms, one of them with a Quenn size bed and a nice view.

At second floor we have one sleepingroom with at queen size bed.

Another family (a mother with her two girls from 1999 and 2005) are living in the rest of the rooms at first floor and in one of the rooms at the second floor. If they are at home they can help you with anything, but in most of the weekends and holidays they live in their second home and will not be in the house.

The garden is one of the biggest in Copenhagen with many small spots for a sunny breakfast and a perfect terrace for an evening BBQ-dinner. We also got a 150 square meter football/badminton field, several childrens swing, sandbox, a large trampoline, huge place for campfire and so many trees surrounding the garden that it’s almost impossible to spot the house from outside. We share the garden with the family living at first floor.

Where is it?

Our house has unique surroundings situated right next to ”Degnemosen” - a public and very peaceful park and lake-area with lots of trees, green lawns, birds and biking/running/walking paths. I have made a Googlemap to give you some good hints about the area, the easy public transport and the good places to go for the best take-away: http://g.co/maps/725y8

There are a five minutes walk to plenty of sport. The biggest swimstadion in Denmark (http://kubik.kk.dk/bellahojbad), football field (with light in the evening), tennis courts and a huge indoor sportscenter (http://kubik.kk.dk/groendalcentret) with everything you can dream of, for example bowling, tabletennis, squash, fitness, badminton, football.

7 min. by car - and you are in the center of Copenhagen with all its charming restaurants, museums and parks. Or you can as easily go to the sea where you can swim, play or rent a waterbike or canoo. Copenhagen is a biking city, and it’s very easy and safe to go everywhere by bike - you can use ours and be at Tivoli right in the heart of Copenhagen in 20 minutes. We have four bikes for teenagers/adults and a special "bikewagon" where you can transport two kids below 5 years. You can also take a bus in front of our house or bike for seven minutes and then be at ”Flintholm”, the third busiest trainstation in Denmark with train and Metro connection to anywhere.
