About our home

Our home is a light spacious wooden house with a large garden. The front terrace and balcony has a view over a river valley and a protected nature area. The house is well equipped with a full kitchen, seperate washing room with dryer, two bathrooms (including bathtub), childrens toys, large screen TV, bicycles etc. The garden includes swings, trampoline and a sand pit.

The house has 4 bedrooms (sleeps 2,1,1 and 1 bed). There is also an extra mattress than can be moved to one of the rooms. The master bedroom is on the top floor with beautiful sunset views. The kitchen is downstairs in an open living and dining area. Adjacent is a another TV-room and a kids play room.

The house is very light, with wooden tones and white paint. The interior is danish design and minimalistic.

The area surroundings are very quiet, calm and peaceful. Right next to the house you will find walking paths for walks along the small river, past horses and sheep, and though protected nature areas with deer, heron and hare. Longer walks will take you to pre-historic heritage sites and stunning nature. The surrounding countryside is packed with ancient graves from the Stone Age to the Middle Ages, all with signs and hiking trails. Stone Settlement: One of the largest stone settlements in Scandinavia is just a 15 minute walk away. In the shape of a ship it covers almost 80 meters. For more pictures of the area, walking paths and a walking app for the area see - www.skjoldungelandet.dk/

The train station is a 10 minute walk from the house with direct trains to Copenhagen (30 minutes) and transfer to Copenhagen airport (45 min.). Our car can possibly be available during you stay. We also have two summer cottages on the islands of Sejeroe and Fanoe that you also would be able to borrow during your trip to Denmark.
