About our home

We offer a nice spacious house near the waterfront. A typical Danish house with wooden floor and fireplace in the sitting/living room. In the front there is a terrace. Our kitchen is not that big (but it works), but our double livingroom is spacious.1 toilet downstairs. We have 3 rooms, and bathroom upstairs and a repos. And nice garden around the house. Friendly and helpfull neigbours.

More about us

  1. We are 4 people; kids boy 17, and girl 19. Jan 55, is a psychiatric nurse, and I Bodil 47 is a nurse at our local hospital. We have 3 cats, and it would be nice if you could feed and be kind to them, otherwise we will work it out. Our dog will be taken care of by friends. We have done home exchange twice before, and we learned that it is a perfect way for us to see and learn about other countries. We have been travelling quite a lot, in different ways and like to do that together. And the kids know how to take care of other peoples stuff. We are looking for the summer 2011. Another airport to use could be Billund or Hamburg. Ryan air has flights from 4 destinations in Spain to Hamburg, and 3 in Italy to Denmark.

Where is it?

Neighbourhood

Aeroe is a small island south of Fyn, with 6600 inhabitants. Marstal is a historical maritime port and many old sailing ships are visting here in the summer. The island is a good chance to explore the traditional Danish architecture and culture with an easy access to nature, birds, beach and marine life. Four ferries connect Ærø with the main land. Our house lies in the older part of town, 3 min. walk to the harbour and the very child friendly beach. A small wood is very near too. Aeroe is a very beautiful and nice island, for people who wants to be in a quiet place, where everything is relaxed and at low speed. And very nice for smaller kids.
