Where is it?
Ribe's dramatic history is about Vikings, kings, queens, bishops, traitors, witches, floods and fires.
Throughout Ribe, there are details which in most other towns vanished long ago. To wander through the old town is to travel back though time. As evidenced by the numerous memorial plaques, many of the beautiful buildings can be linked to famous people and certain periods of the thousand-year history of the town.
Allthough the watchman passes our house every night and the entire inner city reminds you of days long gone, Ribe is still a vital city with app. 10.000 inhabitants. Lively, with lots of live music, performances and shops.
Ribe is situated in the south west of Jutland.
Legoland is 1 hr away. Copenhagen 3 hrs. Hamburg 3 hrs. Sweden 3,5 hrs. Berlin/Amsterdam 6 hrs.
