“Last year we made a great exchange to Denmark. It was not just an exchange to another country but it seemed also that we went some centuries back in time. We went to Ribe, Ribe is a really nice old town where you really can imagine how life has been in old times. The old culture seems to put a golden layer around the whole town and in the evenings you can make a exciting walk trough town with the night watchman. The Viking museum and the Viking village are so very nice you really can imagine what life has been in Ribe ages ago. And we were lucy to spot some "real" Vikings in the supermarket, totally out of place ;) Even today Ribe is really nice to just walk through and watch the architecture, to shop in and have a drink or just breakfast on a terrace e.g. at the best bakery of Ribe :) which we visited daily. The house is a dream house, outside it looks like an very old fishershouse but inside it is half old half new, with a very spacious kitchen with everything you would like (even if you like to bake everything is there), a separate adult sleeping room downstairs , very romantic, upstairs rooms for the children and lots of toys, a really nice fenced garden with everything to play with for the kids and the opportunity to make a small fire, we really enjoyed the garden. Because there were special circumstances in our family the vacation turned out a bit different and we visited Esbjerg often. Esbjerg has a lot nice places to go with children, especially we enjoyed Het Fiskeri- og Søfartsmuseet (VERY nice especially for children) and The Vognsbøl Park. Also the beaches on the islands are very nice, on several you are allowed to drive a car right on the beach so this makes it a special experience. During our stay we had several times contact with the exchanging family by email always with quick replies and on good terms. Heartily recommended!”

“Ribe is a very interesting town, the perfect size for walking and riding bicycle. The old town is perfectly preserved and the house, that has an exceptional situation near the cathedral, is at the same time in a very quite neighbourhood. With regard to the house, it is very well provided, specially for children, with a very nice garden to spend good time. Ribe is a very good point to make excursions from, for example, to North Germany o the North See Islands as well as all around Jutland. Our relationship with the Hansen family has been very kind and easy. So, we strongly recommend this option for exchanging houses.”
“We experienced an very good exchange this summer. The house is right in the middle of the centre to one of the most beautiful cities in Denmark. They are very friendly and we had a good communication throughout the exchange. We highly recommend Vibeke and Peters house.”
“We made an exchange with Vibeke and Peter in the summer of 2010 and it was a great experience! Right from the beginning (when we decided to exchange) we had good contact on e-mails regarding what to do, where to go, places to see etc. The directions were excellent. Ribe is beautiful and a good centre for touring. The house is central and charming. Worth a visit!”
“We enjoyed our autumn holiday with the kids in Ribe. The house is perfectly centrally situated and at the same time very quiet. The kids had a blast with all the toys, cozied up on the couch with the cat, and enjoyed feeding and looking at the fish. We really enjoyed staying in the old townhouse, which was nice and tidy, but maybe not sparkly clean. The communication with Vibeke and her family was very easy, and they also left our place in mint condition, thanks.”
“We spent some very enjoyable days in the lovely town of Ribe (summer 2014). Vibeke and Peters home is super charming and situated right central in the old charming town. The home was well prepared for us, and we had excellent communication prior to our exchange. We are very happy to recommend this home and family. Susanne”
