About our home

Newly built (2010) 260 m2 low/zero-energy and eco-friendly house, with 1 master bedroom, 3-4 additional bedrooms (dependent on placement of beds). Lovely views towards the forest with deer, fox and birds. A large living room with kitchen is faced towards the forest, and with a door to the library you can enjoy cosy moments.
A large balcony is surrounding around the southern part of the house, where you can enjoy some stunning sunsets over the largest "mountain" in Denmark - Himmelbjerget.

Where is it?

Our house is located in Ry, which is the "outdoor capital" of Denmark. We have less than 800 meters to a nice lake with beach and swimming opportunities, and only 100 meters to the nearest golf course (yes - hole no 13 is just 100 meter up the road). The forest is only 30 meter away, where you can enjoy hiking and running tracks as well as mounting biking tracks. Only 25 minutes away, is Århus, which is the 2nd largest city of Denmark. Within 1 hour of drive, you can visit the Lionpark in Givskud, LEGOland in Billund, Djurs Sommerland and other family related activities. Only 3 km's away, you have Gudenåen, which is known for a very famous canoeing experience and fiching.
Copenhagen is 2,5 hours by car or 2,5 hours by train. Odense (hometown of famouse writer Hans Christian Andersen) is 1,5 hours by car.
We can provide you with information on MTB and trail routes, playing grounds and shelters, long distance walkig routes, shopping and entertainment.
