Bettina's reviews

More about us

  1. We are Bettina (56) and Peder (60), a married couple who sometimes travel with our 24y old calm and carefull daughter, Nadia and her boyfriend Kevin, 25y. Sometimes Tina's mom join us too. We are all non-smokers.

  2. We are both former professionals (VP of R&D and Innovation and Production&Logistics Manager) and love travelling whenever we can find the time. We have made 16 successfull home exchanges so far (3*Canada, 5*France, Spain, Switzerland, Iceland, Denmark, Austria, Netherlands and Norway) and love this way of experiencing a foreign country almost like a resident.

  3. We like being near towns/capitals but also love nature and wildlife, hiking, canooing, skiing, local culture, local food and wine etc. We have 2 gentle, cute cats that we hope you will take care of during your stay. They require nothing but food, water and a lot of affection.

Where is it?

Neighbourhood

Our house is situated in village Resenbro and our garden ends at the river Gudenaaen (Denmark's largest river). Resenbro is 7 km downstream from Silkeborg, the central town in Denmark's lake district (50.000 enh.). Plenty of hiking possibilities along the river and in forest within walking distance. 1 km to golf course. Several swimming lakes within 2-10 km. 1 km to grocery shops, 7 km to town center with plenty of shopping, cafes and restaurants, cinema etc. The bus to town stops 200 m from our house. 70 km drive to Legoland (the original one!), 40 km to Aarhus, the "capital" of Jutland. 1 hour drive to the sea and great beaches (on both the east- and westcoast of Jutland). 2½ hour to Skagen, the northernmost tip of Denmark and a beautiful place! 3 hour drive to Copenhagen and 3 hours drive to Sweden. 20 mins to Ry where there are free outdoor concerts (jazz, folk etc) 1-2 times every week in the summer. Family and friends nearby that can help you out on practical issues and give turist advice.
