About our home

Our place is located in Tisvilde, the summer city near the ocean, where "Copenhageners" and artists spend their summer holiday. Nearby is the forest and beautiful beaches. It is only 45 minutes from Copenhagen center. You’ll love our place because of the clean, nordic design in both interior and exterior. Enjoy our huge terrace with lounge area or the big garden with trampoline, soccer goals and fresh fruit trees. The house is perfect for couples and families with kids.

More about us

  1. We are Nina and Kenneth with our two children Ally (17) and Buster (13). We live in Gentofte close to Copenhagen and we enjoy spending time in our summer house in the weekends. Nina likes to walk, Kenneth plays golf with Buster and Alberta rides her horse in our spare time.

  2. Nina works as a school teacher and Kenneth as an inventor.

  3. Going on vacation we love the mix of visiting major cities and the wild nature and we prefer to see it all while walking. We enjoy design, food and meeting new people. We are very open minded and we will make sure that you feel welcome in our homes.

Where is it?

Close to cool Copenhagen, but away from the noise in the city in a rural area of Copenhagen. It takes 10 minutes on the motorway to the centre and 25 minutes on the bike. We live in a charming suburb to Copenhagen, where the nature (beach and forest) is very close by. We also have a lot of shopping and small boutiques nearby. You can easily take a stroll to the nearest baker or supermarket. Our neighbourhood is very quiet and safe.

Buzzy restaurants
Tisvilde has the best restaurants you can imagine. From Typical Danish food, gourmet or Italian take away. In the summer there are a lot of pop-up restaurants on the menu as well.
Cool bars
When dinner is over people hang out in their houses or in the local bar located downtown Tisvilde with cosy music and drinks. Helenekilde badehotel also offers things to do, when the sun sets and the night begins.
Cozy cafés
If you'd like a good cup of coffee and Danish pastries Tisvilde offers three different cafés with each their expression and clients.
Retail therapy
You can do a little bit of shopping in Tisvilde – especially in the summer time where clothing stores, interior decorations and local crafted items are up for sale.
Bit of culture
In the summer time Tisvilde is the cultural Capital of North Zealand. Festivals, flee markets, music in the streets, dining days ON the railways, stand-up comedy and artists performing under the open sky. That is Tisvilde.
Walks in the park
The forest is connected directly to the beach. Start by walking in the sand along the waves and then turn left into the forest which is both adventures and calm. Find swings made by a rope and a stick or visit the local play ground with zip lines and swings for children in all ages.
Spot of exercise
Tisvilde offers the best running and mountain bike routes in Denmark. Due to the sandy ground it never gets muddy and the forest offers different levels of difficulties. This is
Day tripping
Tisvilde is close to everything. Rent a car or take the train and you can each anything within one hour. Go to Copenhagen in the morning and get home to our terrasse before dinner time. The train departs every 30 minutes or rent a car and maybe visit Frederiks Castle on your way to our capital.
