The house is light in both color and style designed to integrate the nature and essentials of happy living focusing on functional efficiency (neo-functionalism, Bauhaus or International Style). The honest and Scandinavian living is emphasized by high quality materials, and a tranquil atmosphere.
The house is great for both families and singles/couples who wish the proximity of the Copenhagen life and at the same time tranquility and peace.
You will enter through the main door to the center of the house. The first floor consists of the kitchen, a large living room with fireplace, a children room (room of our boy), a bathroom, a bedroom and a scullery/laundry room. Second floor comprises the master bedroom, a guest/working room with sofa-bed, a bathroom with a double shower and the best spot of the house – a reading and working place looking into the nature.
Essentially all rooms of the house have a view to nature and natural light from two or more directions. There is direct access to the outside from all first floor rooms (except the bathroom). The house obviously includes relevant modern amenities including TVs, wifi, computer, children things etc.
Outside are three terraces, the main one including an outside fireplace and grills. The garden is simple and with playing options for children including a play tower.
The house was built in 2006.
The house is located next to woods in a private spot and yet close to all the nice places of Copenhagen and North Zealand. Both the close and the general location are more than a place to stay – it is a great place to live one’s life. Denmark, North Zealand, Vedbaek and Copenhagen deserve the cool, sophisticated and peaceful reputation earned with visitors.
The street is only used by residents with children playing on the street and in and out of gardens. The neighborhood is relaxed and upscale, safe (as Denmark in general), quiet, and clean. People are very friendly and speak English and other languages very well.
Within walking distance, there are shopping possibilities, sailing port, beaches, swimming pool, tennis club, woods, deer garden and more. The possibilities to enjoy the nature is unlimited and include running in the different woods, mountain biking on challenging tracks, going to the beach, and visiting the fruit plantation to pick your own apples, pears or raspberries.
Wonderful Copenhagen down town is only 20 minutes by car or train away offering everything from cultural events, excellent shopping and design, café’s and bars, restaurants (Copenhagen is the leading gourmet-capital of North Europe with 12 Michelin star restaurants, and the center of the highly acclaimed "new Nordic kitchen”), art galleries, museums, Tivoli (more than a famous amusement park).
North Zealand offers further historic sites, some of the best nature of Denmark and several great golf courses. Several famous castles are close by including Frederiksborg Slot and Kronborg (Hamlet), as well as the Karen Blixen Museum, Luisiana Contemporary Art Museum, and the old Viking center at Roskilde covering museum, workshops and more. See more at e.g. www.visitcopenhagen.com. H.C. Andersens home town is 1½ hours away.
Sweden is less than an hour away and Germany three hours.
