About our home

120 square meters completely refurbished in 2006 and 2008. Typical Arne Jacobsen architectured two-storeyed terrace house close to both Elsenore and Copenhagen. In walking distance of woods and lakes and a marsh with rich animal life and botanics. Silent neighborhood north of Copenhagen near the King's town of Lyngby with palaces, shops and cafés, recreational features and more. Use our car and get to the sights in minutes.

Visit Hamlet's Elsenore, Dyrehaven National Park and Bakken (400 years old amusement park) or go to one of Copenhagen's many Michelin restaurants including Noma - ranked the best restaturant in the world (book six months in advance). Or even go to the local marsh and pick the herbs needed for making New Nordic Cousine in our well-equipped kitchen, e.g. ramson and wood sorrel used by René Redzepi‎ at Noma.

If you prefer less fancy cousine/recreation we recommend Fribadet (by Furesø lake) with excellent Brazilian barbecue (Churrasco) and swimming facilities including sandy beach and bathing jetty. If you prefer the ocean, Bellevue Beach and the Sound is also close by including excellent fish restaurants.

Rent a canoe and paddle silently through the rich untouched marsh or take a tour through the canal locks all the way to the Sound. Stop by the Prime Minister's summer residence or enjoy the King's hunting grounds and the Erimitage Palace.

When it rains (and it will) you can visit the National Museum or the Open Air Museum and see relics and mummifications or explore places where Danes lived a century or even a millennium ago. A little further to the west you can experience how vikings lived and experience genuine refurbished viking ships.

For the couch potato we offer high-speed internet/wifi, cable TV with VOD/NMT, Playstation 3 and access to a computer. Laundry facilities in the basement. However, feel free to work out by running in the woods or mowing the lawn...
