About our home

A typically Danish townhouse with a mix of Danish design and modern interior kept in a simple way. At first floor we have three bedrooms and a bathroom and at ground floor you'll find the tv room and a large room including a modern kitchen, dining room, and the living room. Just outside the living room we have a wonderful sunny wooden terrace facing the garden with apple trees, children swing, and a sandpit. At the basement we got a large bedroom (play room for the children), bathroom and laundry. A place with all you need and a good atmosphere.

More about us

  1. We are a family with three boys- Anton 18 years, Gustav 16 years and Sigurd 11 years. Lotte, 49 years old, Molecular Geneticist at Copenhagen University Hospital. Kenneth, 50 years old, Head of Projects at the Danish Soccer Association. This will be our fifth home exchange with a lot of good experiences in memory. We have travelled and visited many fantastic places and countries all over the world, including a wonderful one year stay in New Zealand. Always curious for new adventures and meeting other cultures. We prefer the active lifestyle; a lovely walk, swimming, skiing, biking, kayaking or a play of soccer in the backyard.
We will treat your house with respect, as we expect from the families we exchange with.

Where is it?

The most beautiful area north of Copenhagen down town, just 15 min. away from Tivoli, the little mermaid and all the other historical sites. Its a quiet area with good neighbours and just a walk from the station, grocery etc. If you take the bicycle it takes five min. and you are at the lakes or maybe in one of the forests enjoying your picnic. 10 min. drive by car and you can swim in the baltic ocean or visit some of the many interesting sites in the north of Seeland. Some of the best museums can be reached 15 min by car eg. the famous Louisiana museum. Also the two very historic cities Hillerød and Fredensborg are a short drive away.
Close to our house (five min. drive) is the city of Lyngby where you will find a strip mall, restaurants, or you can go on a boat trip to one of the lakes or you may even want to rent a canoe and enjoy the seaside yourself.
