About our home

***As we will be embarking on a 6-7 months journey, our apartment will not be available from Aug 15th 2018 thru March 15th 2019 because we have rented it out.*** We moved into our brand new penthouse in April 2017. There is an exceptional view of the surrounding mountains and the expanse of red roofed houses that Cuenca, Ecuador, is known for. We are 2 blocks from the Yanuncay River which is one of four rivers here in Cuenca. There is an incredible bus service close by. We have 2 bedrooms with attached bathrooms and 1 additional full bath and a 1/2 bath. The media room could be used to sleep an extra person. There are two decks, one on each end of the apartment. We are on the 5th floor, with an elevator that opens right up into the apartment. Being on the equator, we have no need of air conditioning or heating, but being at 8,500 feet above sea level it can get a little chilly.

  1. We are a retired couple formerly from Colorado USA and now living in Cuenca, Ecuador. We have 5 very grown children (all in their 40's), and 9 grandchildren who live in the United States.

  2. We absolutely love traveling all over the world. We have traveled to all 50 US states, 6 continents, 78 countries and counting.

  3. We are active in our church and we are trying to learn Spanish which at our age is not easy.
