Often referred to as Fiji’s Hidden Paradise, Savusavu appears to be much the same as it was 30 years ago. Founded before the Deed of Cession, Savusavu was originally established as a center for sailing ships trading in sandalwood, beche-de-mer and copra. Savusavu continues to be a copra town with a processing mill in Balaga Bay at the very bottom of Savusavu Bay
Thomas- Our caretaker lives on the property. He is also responsible for ensuring you have a wonderful stay.
Kitty- Assists Thomas maintaining our property. They will help you with launching of kayaks if required and reef walking guidance.
Vuna - lives in nearby settlement and is our inhouse cook. She enjoys cooking and prepares continental & cooked breakfasts, light lunches and simple dinners. She is only too happy to prepare and organise a LOVO (food cooked the traditional island way) or local foods.
Ruru- takes care of all the household duties and assists Vuna when required.
We have 2 dogs, a red and blue Heeler and 2 cats on the property.
NEW ZEALAND ACCOMMODATION
Should you wish instead to visit New Zealand we have available for exchange a Penthouse Apartment on the Waterfront in Nelson. There are 3 bedrooms with ensuites with the Master room located on the top floor along with an office and balcony. The remaining 2bedrooms are located on the 1st floor which also has a balcony overlooking the Harbour Entrance and surround Bay area. Within walking distances of cafe/restaurants with town being a leisurely 30min walk away or 5-10min drive. Nelson is a beautiful destination that is well known for its art and crafts, cafes, wines and scenery, in particular the famous Abel Tasman National Park. It is a region that is so diverse from lakes to golden sandy beaches to boutique ski fields all within easy reach of each other. It is also known as the Sunshine capital boasting extended balmy summers.
