About our home

Our house (130 sqm) from the 1920's, is fully renovated. It's surrounded by a lush, green garden with ponds and garden arrangements.
There's also a smaller house with a sauna/shower and an artist/painter studio where it's also possible to sleep during the summer season.
Downstairs we have an open kitchen/dining/livingroom and a recently renovated bathroom. Upstairs there are three rooms for sleeping and a big balcony.
We have both ADSL and wireless internet connection.

The sandy, shallow beach, is just a few minutes walk from the house. You can walk along the shore for miles and miles, mostly sandy beaches. Hanko/Hangö has a reputation as a summercity. Old villas, many of them functioning as pensionats remind of old times. Hanko has a big port too. The centre of this small town is 15-20 min walk from the house. A supermarket with fresh baked bread is 200m away and the trainstop to Helsinki is 300m away. It takes two hours by train to Helsinki.
The area of the house is very peaceful.
We have three bikes for your use. Bikes and canoes can be rented by the beach.
The use of our car is negotiable.

We are a family of four with two children, a boy 14 and a girl 15.
We rather swap our home during summertime for a week or two but we can also consider other times even during winter time.
We also have an apartment (57 sqm) near Helsinki, (20 min by local train), that can be included in the swap if you want to stay in Helsinki for some days.
We can also do nonsimultanious swap.

You can visit pittoresque old places like Fiskars, a center of disign an handicraft ( about 60 km ), Ekenäs, a small seaside town with a loveley wooden oldtown ( 20 min by train or car ).
You can also make a tour by boat to the old lighthouse of Bengtskär. a whole day tour.
