About our home

Our hometown Naantali is a beautiful, old town by the sea and a part of the beautiful archipelago of Saaristomeri. The house is surrounded by a nice garden. On two sides of the garden there’s a big park with fields and woods. The house is not very big, but we think that it’s perfect for a couple. Besides the kitchen and a large living room we have one bedroom, a study, another, smaller living room, which we call “the sauna chamber” and then – of course – a very good sauna. In "sauna chamber" and study there are sofas, wich can be made for a bed for two.
We live in a peaceful neighborhood at the end of a little street. Our neighbors are nice and helpful, they are couples like us, but there are also two families with young children so there’s a lot of life too – especially when grandchildren come to visit their grandparents living in our street.
The Old Town of Naantali can be reached in 5 minutes by car, 15 minutes by bike and 35 minutes by walking. There’s a little food market 1 km from us and two bigger ones 2 km from here. The city of Turku is only 16 km from us, you can take a bus or even go by bike (we have two bikes, which you can use). There are two golf courses in Naantali and a couple more in Turku area. Helsinki can be reached by bus or train from Turku, it takes about two hours. You can easily reach the archipelago from Naantali - by bike and boat or bus. If you want to visit Stockholm, it can be done by ferries from Turku - a day in Stockholm (two nights on boat) is very popular. Also one day's cruise from Turku in the archipelago ("pick nick cruise") is very popular. And a one or two days trip to Tallinn Estonia is also easy to do! Just let us know and we will help you arrange any activities you like to do.
