“In summer 2011 we enjoy our time in Marita and Altti's house in Rauma. They are very friendly and welcoming. They gave us lots of information and suggestions regarding the local area, which is quiet and secure neighborhood. It was so nice to have the experience of a real Finnish sauna!. We had a very good swap with this family and we highly recommend Marita and Altti as exchange partners.”

About our home
Our home is an architecturally designed detached house in a quiet residential neighbourhood of Rauma on the West Coast of Finland. The bedrooms and toilets are all on the ground floor. The high-ceilinged living/dining room, the open plan kitchen and familyroom as well the sauna & shower room are on a slightly higher level (up 4 steps), but still on the ground floor.
The well-equipped kitchen has underfloor heating, as does the family room and shower. Adding to the comfortable living are the air source
heat pump and a lovely fireplace in the family room.
Our house is available for you the whole year around, even during the winter time, but the best months to come to Finland are from MAY to SEPTEMBER (or if you like snow: from January to March:=)!). WE PREFER to travel abroad in April and March or in September and October, because we do not want to be away from our summerhouse(=our second home) during the beautiful, warm and sunny summer time in Finland!
So,we are open to the possibility of non simultaneous exchange!
