About our home

Our house is a genuine Nordic farmhouse originally built in 1917 and totally renovated by us in 2004 when we moved here. The house has 4 bedrooms, one downstairs and the others upstairs. There are two double beds 160 cm wide, one bed 140 cm wide and the last bedroom has a 120 cm wide bed. Further there is a baby cot available.
The kitchen is large and open to the cosy living room. You can easily seat ten people for dinner in our kitchen. There is a wood heated stove in the kitchen and a fire place in the living room. The bathroom is upstairs and downstairs you also find a separate toilet and the laundry room.
The garden is huge and there is enough space for the kids to play outside. We even have a small football field behind the old barn. In the back garden there is a terrace and a fireplace that we use both in summer and winter. Few things are better than a BBQ with good friends on Finnish summer night.
In just a few minutes walk from the house you find both forests and open fields. Thanks to "Everyman's right", ( ), you are allowed to walk around freely in the forest picking berries and mushrooms or just enjoying the calm silence. The environment is very safe for children.
You are close to attractions like the open air museum Stundars, meteorite crater Söderfjärden, the fantastic archipelago of western Finland, also being classed as a Unesco world heritage.

Enjoy the silence and nature on the country side, still only 10 minutes from the airport and 12 minutes away from town centre of Vaasa. With a large garden it's the idyllic place to experience Finland at it's best.
