About our home

We have converted the ground floor of a little building as a loft, plus a 80m2 patio, with a little swimming pool and a "summer sitting and dining place", which allow us to spend a lot of time outside from May to October.
On the ground floor, around the patio, we have a large room affected to a "winter" sitting room, a Library and a dining room next to a large kitchen.Along the patio, a suite for the master bedroom with private bathroom private dressing and a study with Internet.
on the first floor, we have a second room for friends with private bathroom and two little twinbeddedrooms for 4 children.
We have a private parking for 2 cars.
Our home is perfect for one couple or two and 4 children maximum.

More about us

We are both retired (72 and 78 years old) in Aix en Provence after having worked and lived in Paris and 6 years in Africa.
We have 2 children and 5 grand-children, all living in Paris. We travel very often and we have already made a homeexchange with a lovely family in Capetown (SA) 7 years ago.
We have visited States several times and have spent 3 weeks, two years ago, driving from NY to Charleston. We spent two days in San Francisco in 1995 and would like to return and spend more time, if possible the first week of September next 2016.
As we have a second home in the Alps, we can make a non simultaneous exchange if it's more convenient for you and can welcome you in our home in Aix en Provence at any time you could wish,

Where is it?

Neighbourhood

Our flat is situated in a little building of only 3 flats, in a very quiet district (with individuals houses and gardens) at 5mn walking from the center of Aix en Provence. The famous International Festival of Music of Aix (Mozart) is hold,every year,end of June and July,near the cathedral where we live.

Aix en Provence is a famous old town in Provence, South East of France. Marseille and the Mediterranean sea are at 30mn by car and the Azur Coast at 45mn. The Alps mountains at 2 hours.
